Kim Polgreen started bringing teenagers to Wytham Woods for nature education in 2017 as part of the teen Summer School that she runs for the Environmental Change Institute.

In 2019 Nigel Fisher, the Conservator at Wytham Woods, asked Kim whether she would like to do more education activities at Wytham. They ran a very successful weekend for a group of teens from Westminster Academy in London.

In 2020, Kim was given the role of Youth Educator in Residence at Wytham Woods, and has since gone on to develop a suite of education offerings for the Woods.

In 2022 Kim’s work won Wytham Woods runner up in the Vice Chancellors’ Sustainability Awards.

In early 2023, Wytham Woods collaborated with Head of Sixth Form from The Cherwell School, who had brought groups of students to Wytham Woods on several occasions, to nominate Kim for a High Sheriff of Oxfordshire Award for her work at Wytham Woods.
