Sustainability Summer Schools 2024
Oxford, UK | For 16 - 18 year olds
with the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford
And wytham woods, the University’s research woodlands
"The ECI Youth Summer School is a win-win for the ECI and for youth leaders – it’s terrific for ECI staff to interact with young people with a passion for the environment, and a great opportunity for the students to actively engage with the world of academia."
Dr Lisa Robins, ECI MSc 1995
We have been working with the Environmental Change Institute since 2016, and Wytham Woods, the research woodland of the University of Oxford, since 2018, to offer this unique summer school for 16-18 year olds.
We have small groups of just 8-10 students and 2 pastoral staff. Over a delightful few days in the woods and farmland, students will spend time with around experts in biodiversity, climate and sustainable farming.
We will discuss climate policies, energy policy, the climate implications for nature, how nature can help reduce the impacts of climate change, and how our food systems can help turn round our climate and biodiversity challenges.
